My wife showed me a product she picked up at Costco called Lumify. It is a eyedrop solution that automatically whitens the eyes and gets rid of red, veiny, dull color with just a couple of drops in as little minutes. The Lumify is made by Bausch and Lomb and it gives 5 star results. Not cheap. $28 USD. I havent seen it other than Costco but haven't look beyond that. A couple of drops and you are bright eyed and bushy tailed. Good for portrait photographers to have in their bag of tricks. Always as the study whether they have any allergies to meds before you apply. Love the stuff. Makes my eyes look younger.

Heres the bottle.

Interesting. But I imagine the vast majority of portrait photographers would much rather edit the images than put drops into their subject's eyes. In most cases, it's a fairly simple edit to make the eyes look brighter, more white. Especially when working with digital images.

My eye doctor recommended Lumify eye drops. It acts to remove redness in one minute. The eyes do not develop a tolerance to the drops. The effect lasts about 3 hours. You may find a better price on Amazon. I buy my supply there.

I agree. I can brighten eyes in a minute or two in post, rather than tell a portrait subject their eyes are red and I need to put drops in their eyes.

On my way to Costco - need to get that bushy-tail look going for when we can socialize again!

On further thought... I think this product could be quite useful to videographers.

True but Visine hurts like hell in the eyes. And the eyes become tolerant of it over time.

Joke: Visine has been banned in Russia because it gets the red out.

I'm sticking to digital red eye removal if needed. Thanks for the background information.

Do you drop this onto the print? Why else would it be posted here in a photo forum?

The OP said it would be useful for portrait subjects. It's up to Admin as to whether that's not enough of a photo connection to send it to Chit Chat.
