I 've made observation, not a study nor any research, that birds use pretty much the similar muscle and anatomical mechanics to launch a flight as to launch a poo (there are differences). Judging from the placement of his wings, Held close to body but raised I came up with taking crap!!
I would think if he was getting ready to launch his wing would have been moving away from his body.

Quickly ascertained he was going to launch a stream out the back. Mostly as it appeared he was "lifting his coat" in the back to avoid getting it spoiled. Looked too casual to be ready to fly.
