greetings fellow Hedgehog'ers, have any of you purchased or used products from Neewer.
I'm currently having a bad experience from their costumer service.

Yes. The products I received were fine so had no need to test their customer service.
Purchased several products via Amazon. No complaints.
I've purchased a few Neewer products, but have never dealt with their customer service.
Yes, like the others, I have used and liked several other products, but have had no dealings with customer service.

I have owned a Neewer 880S speedlite, a 750 II Pro speedlite, ring flash and quick release tripod clamp, all of which are high quality and reliable.

I had such a bad experience with their customer service that I will never purchase a Neewer product again. In terms of product, I understand that they are simply a marketing company that sources products from various factories and sells under the Neewer brand. The quality can be acceptable if there is good quality control in place. Not a terrible business model, if you can avoid alienating your customers.
I bought a Neewer carbon fiber tripod and it serves me well. Never had an experience with customer service. If in the next few years there is a problem I'll just toss it. It wasn't expensive enough to fight with a customer service rep.
Neewer is essentially a 2nd tier brand that sells to retailers and you if you wish, they don't really do customer service unless forced (e.g bought on Amazon) Customer service tends to be found at the retail level. If you bought at bobs camera store then bob took his markup and deals with the customer when things go wrong. Bobs also a regular customer of neewer buying a lot of product so neewer will be nicer to bob.
In practice buying direct from neewer is ok if there isn't too much to go wrong, for more expensive items if buying via amazon it might be worth paying for the buyer protection which hopefully will pay out when there are issues.
I have the Newer fluid head on my tripods and no complaints. No need for customer service.
Try this "trick" for customer service in this day & age...Go out to FaceBook &/or Twitter (really any of the social media, do a search on Neewer and leave a very unsavory review with exact details of why you needed to contact their Customer Service, the reception you've had...then post it.... I can almost guarantee you they will respond almost immediately.... Unkind remarks in social media are poison to all companies
I bought an underwater light in 2019 and now that light is sold under another company name. The light works well for the price. This year I bought a backdrop and a ring light. For the price they are adequate. All of these were bought from Amazon and usually you can get them to refund if there are defects found or you just don't like it.
I've purchased a few of their products in the past through Amazon and had no need to contact customer service.
I have several of their products, but I wouldn't even bother with customer service. They make products to sell for low prices, so I can't imagine them paying dozens of people to answer phone calls from callers from around the world.

I've used, and still do, neewer products. Never had a problem, do can't say anything about customer service.
