A study has shown that people who are happy and energetic respond better to the Covid vaccine.

"In one study, people who described themselves as energetic, cheerful or relaxed produced a 73 per cent greater antibody response than those who regarded themselves as nervous, tense or angry. Another found that those who were in a positive state of mind on the day of a flu shot were better protected by the vaccine 16 weeks later than those who were in a less upbeat mood. Other studies have found that people with stronger friendships and romantic relationships responded better to vaccinations."

I get it. People with a positive outlook feel better about life in general. Mind over matter?

Having a positive attitude and outlook seems to be a foundation for a lot of good outcomes.

I just received my injection within the past hour. One positive thing was the outdoor line went really smoothly. Everybody worked together--imagine that! Our governor (Texas) was bragging about the total number of injections but we are down to #48 as the % of population and that's not good.

Here’s some more advice I just read on Yahoo news.
Do not take OTC medications like Tylenol, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin BEFORE getting the vaccine, UNLESS prescribed your doctor. It blunts the effect.
It’s OK after.
I looked for the link to pos here but I think it was a sub-link from another article.
I’ll see if I can find it.

OK. Here it is: https://bestlifeonline.com/news-otc-meds-covid-vaccine/
Another Source: https://bgr.com/2021/01/14/coronavirus-vaccine-stop-taking-these-otc-medicines-before-covid-19-treatment/

More junk science in my opinion. Someone got money to do that study. I am in the angry PO'd group. My vaccine probably won't take, right?

Well, I'm screwed then. Lol.

They were just talking about this on the radio yesterday.

There's a newer article on how it helped in the labor/delivery too. They say laughter is the best medicine. Maybe hire some clowns and/or comics to cheer people up when they get the shot. Who knows. I hate shots, so I wouldn't mind a good laugh.

Having a positive mood with a self-imposed lock-down and with the massive screwup of vaccine distribution is indeed difficult.

Politicians, Physicians are not the ones who know how to plan and coordinated-orchestrate a vaccine distribution. One late-night show suggested that wedding planners could do a much better job of getting ducks in a row; sounds good to me!.

Jerry,
I’m on the fence about taking this vaccine, only because it was fast-tracked, so I worry about potential side effects. I’ve seen your posts, so your well read on this subject. Does any literature suggest any potential side effects or risks?
So far the only negative story I’ve heard was from my wife’s friend. Her sister works for a cardiologist who got the vaccine last week and within 12 hours he began shaking. He obviously knew what to do and the shaking subsided after taking plain aspirin.

machia ... "a cardiologist who got the vaccine last week and within 12 hours he began shaking. ...shaking subsided after taking plain aspirin."

Say What ! ! ... aaaa, was that a baby aspirin? A man, Machia, heard it from his wife, who heard it from a friend, who heard it from the sister of a woman who worked for a cardiologist, she heard it probably from the wife of the cardiologist who did not plug in the electric blanket. And the myths begin.

Do we take aspirin as a precaution? How many COVID vaccine side effects were reported? Few, but there have been some, thus far none have died. In contrast, we can not say that people who have contracted COVID soon to be in USA half million who have died from COVID-19
https://medshadow.org/covid19-vaccine-side-effects/

My reservation is based on the people who screw-up not adding dry ice to keep the vaccine ultra cold and dare not tell their boss the screwed up a batch.
