Vanguard Customer Service

If anyone is thinking about purchasing a Vanguard product, I can verify that the company has really good customer service. I have a Vanguard BBH-300 ball head which was attached to an old bogen monster aluminum tripod. I was carrying the tripod and some other camera gear out to my car. I set the tripod down without splaying the legs very far out and it fell over. The main plastic control knob on the ball head hit the ground and broke. I sent an e-mail to Vanguard asking if it would be possible to purchase a replacement. I got a quick response from them, was told that the ball head was an older model and that they may not have a replacement knob. The representative said he would search around to see if he could find a replacement knob and would let me know if he was successful. After about a week without hearing from him, I assumed he was not successful. Then a few days later I received a small package in the mail from Vanguard. It was a replacement knob which fit the ball head perfectly. They did not charge me for the replacement knob even though the head was well out of warranty and it broke due to my carelessness. Hats off to Vanguard. The self-leveling ball head is really good too.

Great company that makes a great tri-pod.....I have three of their best ones and love them.....
