Found this article very helpful in explaining BBF and how to set it up from the menu. I’m giving it a try.

I LOVE having the auto focus and exposure functions separated!
Once I set BBF I never went back, nor will I.

You'll have to get used to them being separate. Shouldn't take long.
Second nature to me now.

I've been using BBF for quite a while. If you like to shoot moving subjects, it's a game changer. Many times I accidently pushed the shutter button too far and the burst was out of focus. Refocus......and then it was too late. With the two functions separated, it tripled my keeper rate of BIF. Just works for me and doesn't affect static subjects at all.

It does take a little bit to get used to, I won't lie. And...you'll either love it or hate it. You can always change it back. But, I won't have it any other way.

Especially when combined with exposure lock.

Combined as in same button, or combined in as simultaneous use.
