I was unaware of this site and accidentally ran across it today. It's a good one to bookmark for those who love the outdoors.

Went to the sight. looked at the Missouri and Kansas NPS locations. Were about 5 in KS and 3 in MO. Of the 8, the description was identical on 6 of them and of those 6, one was half way correct. The other two were way wrong. Makes you wonder about the website?

Thank you!
This is one to keep on file.

I really hope everything opens up during this year. Travel, family gatherings and
outdoor activity has been absent from our daily lives longer than anyone expected.
Everyone, stay healthy and be safe, it can only get better...!

Yes, it does make one wonder but it will list areas that many are not aware of and then they can research those areas on other sites.

What a wonderful site! Thank you. My sister and I are looking for a national park to go to for vacation this year. There is also a site you can go to for a lifetime pass to national parks if you are over 62.

Smoky Mountain N.P. announced yesterday that they averaged 1 million visitors a month in 2020 . I was there in Oct. and left 2 days early because of the crowds . You best check the conditions first before you go . Was in Arches in Sept. and they closed the park at 9:30 am because they had reached capacity.

Probably written by someone sitting behind a desk in D.C. who just used the same phases (cut-and-paste) for many of the parks around the country... In my experience, the local rangers can't say enough about their own parks.

Actually I look at the park service and forest service as a branch of the sierra club since they infiltrated and took them over some years back.

as of late 2020 if you are a vetern you can get in any Natl park free;all you need to do is take your dd214 to the dmv and have them list vetern on your drivers lic. This is good for all vets not just active duty. check it out with your dmv. You can still buy a lifetime park pass if you are a senior for $80.00 or a park pass good for a year if you are not a senior for $80.00.These are good for everyone in your car not just the card holder. The senior pass use to be $10.00 but went up to $80.00 last year. You can buy a pass at any Natl park.
