Fantastic Images!!! Cindy
I thought that our local nesting pair had moved to a new location, But yesterday on my way home from the Doc. I saw one roosting near the nest, The problem is It is almost impossible to get closer than 175-200 yds since the tree is at the edge of an open field which is very low lying, last spring I tried but the wading 50yds of mud wore me out and it didn't get any drier even in the summer. I live about 50yds from the river that run right under the nest tree and a mile up stream , not enough water to try and float in.
I'M really considering baiting them. We'll see come spring.
Fantastic Images!!! Cindy br I thought that our lo... (show quote)

Thanks! The eagles here don't nest till April and I have a couple of active nests that we can see pretty good....it is a blast to be able to watch the chicks grow!

Cindy you’d best talk to the grocery stores and take any past sellable fruit off their hands! Great fun shots and I love your processing!

Thanks Marg! This time of year here we don't get good fruit...so I don't think I would want it anyway...lol This compost site is open to the public as well and a lot of locals use it.

Wow, looks like a blast. How long do they hang out in numbers like this. It would be fun to visit your area just to play with the eagles. Thanks for sharing.

They will hang out here on and off till mating season in April then they disappear. Some times there is only 1 or 2 but I have seen up to 15 to 20 at the most. Love that this place is only a few minutes from my house!

Cindy, I meant for you to get that fruit and take it to the compost pile to keep feeding the mice to keep attracting the eagles so you can keep taking those shots to share with us! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Cindy - Spectacular ⭐ You're having so much fun with them - and we don't even have a single sparrow here (60452). Nothing winged. Not even a measly dead gnatπŸ€”
