Beautiful! And, if look beyond the cellist you may note the kids of this world aren’t as bad as some make them appear.

Thank you!! I taught kids for 38 years. They are not born bad!! It is a learned behavior and we must look inside and carefully inspect ourselves to see how "the bad" was acquired.

The cellist is Stjepan Hauser, a Croatian.

Enjoy,
Mark

Lovely. I discovered Hauser a few years ago on youtube. Prior to hearing him play, I'd never given the cello much consideration as I'd been a classical guitar and violin lover for most of my life.
HOWEVER, when I heard him play I'd never realized what a sensuous instrument a cello could be played by the right person, and obviously Hauser throws his entire being into whatever he is playing.
Thanks for sharing.

My pleasure. Thanks for the comments! YoYo Ma and Pablo Casals are/were pretty good too.

Yes, they are good technical musicians, but until Hauser I'd never really heard a cello speak. There are those rare musicians who are able to transfer their feelings through their instruments and
from my nonprofessional level, Hauser is one of those extraordinary people.

My daughter is learning to be a music teacher at SUNY Fredonia. They have already taught her how to play 11 musical instruments. And she is in her 3rd year. She plans on going to grad school to get a MFA

That is awesome, I fully understand your pride. My grand daughter is a recent graduate of Boston University school of Music. She plays piano, oboe, and English horn.

Thanks, Mark. I'm moved every time I hear this piece. This is the first time I've heard it largely without vocal accompaniment.
