There are lots of words that mean basically the same thing, but there are also words that are used interchangeably and incorrectly.

I'm not meaning to be mean. . But the phrase "Very interesting" was made famous by Arte johnson in Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In in the late 60's. .He was always popping up outta the bushes, wearing a Nazi soldier's helmet <smile>

actually, Hogan's Heros predates Laugh In by a couple years. Loved both shows, unfortunately neither one would be politically correct/acceptable today.

According to IMDB which lists memorable quotes from Hogan's Heroes (27 of them), NOT once is Schultz quoted as sayng "Very interesting." In support of Arte Johnson, I offer here this from Arte Johnson's obituary in the Washington Post (July 3, 2019):

"Arte Johnson, a puckish, Emmy-winning performer on “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In” ( in over 50 episodes) best remembered as Wolfgang, the World War II German soldier who spies on the show’s skits from behind potted plants and finds its gags “verry interesting,” if sometimes “shtupid,” died July 3 at a hospital in Los Angeles. He was 90."

Second look, Jerry. It is interesting! My big concern is educated people not knowing how to use there/there/they're. I see it everythere.

👍 I agree. Sgt. Schulze always said, "I know nothing."

The word to, too, & two all sound the same but mean three different things. I blame the fact that we have only 26 letters to work with. Did you ever notice the teenagers. They never talk They just keep poking their finger into that black thing in their hand. Than they all start laughing at the same time. They call it texing..Must have been invented by a guy named Tex. I guess life must have passed me by. I also was never good at my gozinds. You know..2 gosinto 4 2 times. Am I just too old to learn???
