Milkweed flowers, green pods and open dry pods spreading seeds.
Not in the league of crab grass, Bermuda grass, dandelions or sow thistle but they can spread really well if conditions are right.
More tests of the Yongnuo ring flash.
All three:
5DIV, Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro, 1/200 @ f/8, ISO-400
Hand held, spot meter, flash did fire.
Gives a nice light! Great captures and renderings, thanks for sharing.

Thank You, a few other people picked that one also. One suggested converting to B&W - I may try that this evening, even experiment with the tints like sepia etc.
I have the same flash but have only used it a few times. Your beautiful images inspire me to dust it off and try again, Jerry!

Enjoy.
The "Create 52" face book photo group has a still life theme week coming up and I intend to get some really small things and do a macro still life using this flash and focus stacking. Maybe even go to 1:1 and then stitch to produce the whole scene. I have a box where I have collected, leaves, dried flowers, dead insects etc as subjects for macro work. Add in a few fresh specimens from the yard and my ambition will probably far out do my lazy retired body.
