As you guys in the USA have got it wrong you are quoting out of and incorrect news, the first dose is roughly a half dose and when the second dose is given the result is about 92% or more effective. No one who was involved in the trials and now the vaccine is being rolled has been affected by covid so far.
According to your own government's published info on 1/7/2021 the injections recommended are both full dose. You can check with your daughter or ask when you get your shot. Also, 30% of those people who received both injections still got COVID though none were hospitalized (in comparison to the 5 hospitalizations in the control group). Also about 50% of individuals who got the first shot still got COVID and 2 were hospitalized. Clearly the vaccine is useful, easy to produce, ship and vaccinate. So much better than getting no vaccination. And congrats to the scientists at Oxford and Astra Zeneca who developed it. If you want to see what your own government says:
PS. My son who works in the hospital has already gotten his first shot (of the Pfizer vaccine) plus his booster.
