Found this guy on one of our fly screens...he blends in quite well. I left these shots bigger than I normally do, the double download shows the detail much better.

Nice shots Ron, they really demonstrate the lace quality of the wings very well.
To me, it is totally counter-intuitive that this gentle looking adult insect is the finality of its voracious former self.

Great shots. I have never seen the adult form. As a kid I used to feed the larva by dropping ants into their cones.

Thanks Bruce, nature does have what we perceive as some savage moments...I was watching a video about Mantises the other day and couldn't believe how savage they are...this video showed them catching and eating small birds, fish, mice and other small creatures...alive!!
