I'm stumped.
The cursor for my brush tool has changed from a circle, the size of my brush size, to a cross hair with a dot in the center. I have looked and looked for some control I must have inadvertently goofed up to make it change, but can not fine anything to switch it back.
The brush tool works OK this way, but the brush curser outline is invisable.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks
Bill
Yes. Hit the 'Caps Lock' key on your keyboard.
.
Have you left the brush size so big that its outline is outside the visible work area? The crosshairs sound like what you get at the centre of some brushes.
On the top of your screen, go to Edit> Preferences>CURSORS. I believe the setting to change the look of your cursor or brush etc is listed in there.

Cany143 has the answer - Caps Lock is on.
"Caps Lock" - One of the many little things I have learned here on UHH. This issue used to stump me from time to time. Before I learned it was the Caps Lock button that was the culprit, I solved the problem by rebooting my computer. Simply turning off the Caps Lock button is much easier and quicker. What I never figured out is if there is a reason the Caps Lock button has this effect on the brush cursor or if it is simply a bug not worth fixing.

It's on purpose, or at least it was in 2007, from this search result on Google:
This is a feature to be used when you need to see the precise center of your brush.😊

Thanks very much! That cured it.

Saxman,
I was doing the same thing. Then going nuts when the issue returned.

Thanks to all for helping me become a little less confused.
