When I export a slideshow from Apple Photos, it is exported as .m4v. When I try to play it with Quicktime, I get a message that it cannot be played. Anyone have any experience with this issue? I talked with Apple and the tech had me do the same thing with only four photos and it was playable. But when I do the same thing with a longer slideshow, I can't play it. Thanks for any insight.
Any chance you are using music for your slide show from the iTunes store?

Interesting question. Yes. How does affect this?

In doing some experimenting, I think you are absolutely correct. I tried the slideshow with music I knew I had uploaded from my own cds, and it worked. Obviously I had some iTunes purchases in my original. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.
I don't have any Mac experience. However, in the Adobe forum for Premiere Elements video editor it comes up that iTunes music gets blocked. The .m4v container is similar to the .MP4 container except that it contains copy protection tools. So, I'm guessing that there is something in your .m4v files, put there by Apple, to stop you from using it.
