A photograph converted to a painting

This photograph when first viewed had “painting” written all over it. It easily and naturally was converted to a painting. It reminds me of the old masters work with a modern twist!
Since it’s very wide, for best detail please view it in download.

Looks good. Who did the conversion?

I did the conversion in Photoshop using the watercolor filter. To me it almost looks like an oil painting though.

Nice results. To my eye it looks like an oil painting.

Nice watercolor conversion, Brent. I have difficulty getting that look on my attempts to apply that filter. I’m guessing the subject matter is a big factor in the success of using the filter.

Morning Brent, It is as you said a good one for watercolor. I love impressionistic, watercolor, etc. Hard to find a natural looking technique. This is very nice.

Thanks Frank. The sliders on the watercolor filter can really change things.

Stan, the middle slider for that filter is all about shadows. You have to slide the slider to the far left or it goes way to black. That will help you for starters!

It's all about the sliders! Thanks for the nice compliment.

Nicely done and certainly a good choice for a painting.

Nice scene Brent and a good filter choice for processing it as a painting. Bev
