This was taken in Austin, a city that appears to be doing its best to imitate Portland. They've had no outright riots in the streets (that I'm aware of), but this is a consequence of fear of the same. They're going down that west-coast road--camping under the bridges, toilets in the street, defund the police, and so on. The once-thriving 6th Street is mostly boarded up. A shame.
