• Two Holders-35mm and Medium Format
• Scanner Installation CD-ROM with ArcSoft PhotoStudio Program

Very good price. Be sure to LOCK the scan head in position before shipping to the new owner.

This is my favorite scanner for the money. MOST people find its output sufficient, although, as you found, it's a little slow when scanning at very high resolutions. Actual image resolution is closest to 2400 dpi, although it claims 6400. So there is little point in scanning more than 3200. 6400dpi takes four times longer than 3200.

Ok thought I could save shipping but it would be about a 3 hour round trip for me. I am interested if still available.

What would you recommend to do larger volumes of slides and at a quicker rate? I have approximately 1,500 slides that I want to transfer.
Thank you in advance.

Scanning a large amount of slides at home is a problem. The best flatbed scanners such as the Epson V750 will scan only 12 slides at a time. The only scanner that I know of that will do batch scans for 35mm slides is the Pacific Image PowerSlide X that can scan 50 mounted slides at a time. It costs about $899.00 but seem to be backordered at all the internet sites I checked. There are many slide scanning services available but it could cost $.40 a slide for a volume order.

Thanks for the info.
So approximately 1,000.00 either way.
Do it myself or have a pro do it. Any opinion on both in terms of quality of reproduction?
