Santa is bringing me a new Canon R6. It comes with a 24-105 mm f/4-7.1 lens. Has anyone had any experience with this lens and camera. One person told me the lens wasn’t that good another said it was a good lens. I have several L lens and Santa also will bring an adapter so I can use them.
Thanks and Happy Holidays
Anyone who says it's not a good lens is just jealous they don't own it.

I have this combination and it's very good!
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the len. I have it on an RP. Certainly not the fast lens but shooting it in the f/8 to 11 range I am getting sharp landscapes. Hard to beat for the price. Only issue I’ve had is most pp software doesn’t have a lens correction profile for it so I am using the rf L 24 to 105 profiles
I bought the lens with my R and I now. Use it with my R5. It is a great lens. You will enjoy it. Be safe and have a great holiday

I want to know how you get all this advance information from Santa. Do you have a spy at the North Pole?
I have the RF 24-105 f4 lens and in my opinion is a better lens because of the constant low aperture through the entire zoom.

Agree. I got that lens with the R5 and find it excellent. Used it exclusively for the first few weeks and very pleased. I'm willing to bet all the RF lenses will be equally good and better than the SLR L series. Anyone with doubts should rent it and give their own test!
Congratulations on the new camera and lens.
As for your question of the lens, I think the quality of almost every lens is dependent upon the photographer. If you usually get outstanding photos from your other lenses I suspect you will do as well with this lens.

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy is an adult afraid of the new.
I have recently gotten the R6 with 24-105 Kit lens, seems great to me, wish it were f2.8 ;) and the same size and weight. It is nicely compact and light compared with the f4. Images are sharp. Still impatiently waiting for my backordered 100-500, come on B&H, get some in please, feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas!
Indoor, just set it at ISO 3200+ to overcome the slowness of the lens. That sensor will still give your great images.
Good advice, the high ISO performance is better than I have seen.
The RF 24 - 240 has become my go to lens for general walking around stuff. I was very skeptical when I got it but have found it to be sharp and good for a wide variety of images. Yes you have to boost the ISO indoors but The R5 and R have both given me good results. A good lens at a decent price.
