Making the color selection work for you better...

I do not know about you but the tool -Select color range- is not as good as it could be.
I use a work around.
Process:
- Create a selection
- Create a layer CTL-J
- Alt-click on the layer visibility icon(eye)
- Select the color sampler tool
- Create a sampling point of the colors you want and no other.
- Open the Select color range tool
- Use the probe to select one of a sampling point.
- Adjust Fuzziness and Range
- Click on sampler (add)
- Select all the other points you created with the sampler tool (maximal 10)
- Click OK
