And to think 78 plus years later there is a rise in Nazi groups in Germany and here in America. How disgusting. When are we ever going to learn......

I'm afraid this is not vary true, I lived in Southern Germany, Munich, from 1969 to 1971, there were Nazis everywhere, they just were not above ground at the time. As 'they' say, "Nothing ever changes".

Thanks so much for posting the video. It is amazing to me how today, so many people can tolerate modern Fascism and White Supremacy. Doing nothing IS helping them....you must be active against such evil.

Yes, it is a great truth and it has been the guide post for generation after generation.

Thank you Timmers, our current generation needs to see this film and understand that we have a threat, right here in the United States of America, right now from several radical groups that very much like that of the Nazis.

Nazi is just a political movement, it does not speak to the two terrors of the Nazi apparatus, the SS and it civil arm the Gestapo. This the heart of this horrific idea of government.

Years ago at one of Milwaukee's "Polishfests" I worked an exhibition about WWII, I kept people from entering the exit and clogging up the place. What got me was the fact that so many elderly men were coming out with a very strange look on their faces and somewhat pale; the women were also with many of them crying. Near the nights end I had a woman approach me and speak in broken English about her grandfather who wanted to see the exhibit, his name was Fritz. I had the exit closed but escorted them through the closed entrance and introduced them to a Mr. Adamczyk, who was putting the exhibit on. As it turns out Fritz was in the Warsaw Ghetto during the occupation and knew the man who took every picture in the exhibit of the Germans and what went on. Fritz and Mr. Adamczyk talked in Polish for about two hours, and I walked around looking and looked at these photos and understood why these people who exited the exhibit looked the way they did. The man who shot the photos did so at great risk to his life and the lives of his family. Each roll shot was wrapped carefully and buried in coffee can under the floor of his workshop. He died prior to the end of the war but after the war they were found by a women and her children who, after the demolished workshop was cleared away, decided to turn a little area into a garden for food. The found one of the guys relatives and gave him the film. Many years Mr. Adamczyk heard of this, found the relative who still had the film, had is processed and got permission to put on the exhibit throughout Europe and then to the US. I was told the unprocessed film was packed in such a way a good 85% of the film survived. I'm not of the Jewish faith, but what these people went through was real. I never had such an education as I did looking at those pictures. I was thankful that my grandparents survived and had my mom and dad.

This reveals one of the great truths about any of us being in a time of history, it is the act of bearing witness to life that reveals the spirit of the time. You are the witness to your own era. One of those times for me was the 60's in California, a great time to be among so many people. Like love, being alive is a verb, it is what you do that matters and there is no way around life, your either part of it in a positive way or you are the negation.
