Morning Hike in Michigan

These are a few from our trip to Michigan. Can anyone identify the flower? I found this single flower in a tiny clearing in the woods. Please download and thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for compliment Bruce. I looked up the flower...how crazy is it that it is poisonous? Th poison is, apparently cyanide! The pic is a little grainy, but I really wanted to capture it

Another nice set of pictures Fran. The flower looks like an aqualegia (columbine) in the process of opening up. They grow wild and flower in late spring /early summer. They are available as hybrids in most nurseries these days. See attached image. Don't think they are poisonous but then again, many common flowers are and others are edible. Don't think it's wise to experiment.
