From all the bad reviews, I would say Yes. Check out the reviews. It is best to stay with B&H Photo or Adorama. Both have excellent customer service. There has to be some good guys on the West Coast.
The bad stores change their name often. Just Google "reviews of Focus Camera".

I live close to their store. It's hit and miss with them. I've gotten good buys over the years. Then again at times I've walked out in amazement of their pricing and policies. I no longer go there, I just go to BH for peace of mind.
Buy from reputable dealers, new or used gear. They stand behind their products and in many cases their warranty for used products exceeds the 90 days even original manufacturers use for refurb cameras and lenses. MPB is a good example along with Roberts Camera.
Do not experiment with stores you do not know.
I bought a Sigma lens about 4 years ago, I ordered it thru Amazon and it was fulfilled by Focus camera. True it was several years but Amazon stands behind what they sell and who they deal with. I recently had ordered a box of Canon ink thru Amazon. The seller sent a box of 4 color instead 5. I tried several times to solve the situation with no luck. After contacting Amazon I was credited the order and could keep the ink. So to make a long story short I have dealt with Focus camera at one time with no problems.
Roberts Camera in Indianapolis is also very good. 6 month warranty on used is real.

People keep saying to run from these bad stores. In fact most of us live far enough away from these stores. If we do in fact live near these stores then paying a visit to the stores would tell the whole story.

I second that suggestion. They are good and back what they sell.

Another
good store in the Western USA is
Pictureline in Salt Lake City. I've been doing business with them for years. Reasonable service and prices on a par with B&H.
You might also want to check out Samy's Camera, which has several stores in Southern California. I've never had a problem with them. They also sponsor several on-line classes on photography, post-processing, etc.
