Challenge: Your Thanksgiving Table And Yummy Food You Made. Nov 26-28th 2020
We had a quiet day. But the house surely smelled good. Like you, Lorima, many of my dishes, serving pieces and foods are generational. With just the 2 of us, I didn't get everything out, but served ourselves from the stove (my mother just rolled over in her grave hearing that!)
One pale, naked bird about to be stuffed and put in the oven.
It smelled so good
Kitchen pot ,n pan buffet :R to L: creamed onions, squash, gravy, (mashed potatoes and julienned green beans in pots), turkey, stuffing
Plates are antique flow blue (maternal grandmother), salad plates (wdg gift), water goblets (wedg china), other goblets (from friends' wedg), sterling (wedding gift), lower rt. hand blown pitcher made by my bro, pressed glass pitcher - M-I-L favorite
Full plates, full stomachs and full of many memories.
Memories last longer than the meal.
Nice looking spread Pat. Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving from San Diego area, the other coast.
Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving with many memories to see you through the tougher times. If you are familiar with the British comedy series "Mr. Bean" you likely remember this episode. We re- created it, thanks to photoshop, today. It's my husband's favorite episode. The other 2 pix - Happy Thanksgiving from us.

Oh, my! Lori! Glad that you are a fighter! Remission is Good! God's Blessings!
I really enjoyed your sharing of Thanksgiving in your home!
Thank you as they say I had cancer it didn't have me. Glad you liked my photos.
[quote=Clicker2014]Happy Thanksgiving to all my U.S. friends! I am from Canada eh! So our Thanksgiving was a few weeks ago. We didn't celebrate as such. John and I stayed put. But I did bake a Butterscotch pie from my Grandmother's recipe. I make it for most of the family gatherings and it disappears fast! Sometimes I don't put it out until after the main meal or pieces are missing! LOL!
I am already drooling over your pictures Lorima and others. I could put on weight just looking at all these beautiful dishes. I really like your swirl potatoes! I assume sweet potatoes. Will have to figure out how you do them.
And Lorima, I am so glad you are in remission! We all pray that you just keep getting better! Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Stay home, be safe!
Hugs from Canada![/quote
Your pie looks delicious. The potatoes are just regular Idaho spuds but have cheese bacon and spices. They are so good. Thank you for your kind words.

Wonderful start, lorima, and what good news. We all pray that it will stay that way. By the way, There is certainly nothing wrong with frugal management.
We are bunkered down after our travel last week. Son will stop by since I'm preparing a meal for four. He'll make three of us, but he promised to bring an appetite for two.
Here's what we got so far....
Thank you so much. Hope your meal was delicious. Nice photos.

We love Mr. Bean especially the episode when he went to the dentist

Yup that was another good one! Playing with the nativity set in the department store was also a good one!

Great, Pat, great.
This Challenge sure brings back fond memories. Up here, well around here anyway Thanksgiving is not all that celebrated. Wonder how it would be in Salem, MA.
