Thanks. It was a little of both. We knew they were there but it's a big area. No way to set up a blind. We figured that fur coat would cause him to be out and about in the coolest period of the day. We watched and hoped all summer very early in the AM. No luck. But yesterday was cool, in the low 70s and we saw him about 9:30 AM.

Thanks cloudhopper. Yeah they are very elusive. This is only the third time in my life that I've got photos of one. And I've spent many long days tromping around in the bush with a camera. And he's the most beautiful one I have ever seen too!

Thanks, very much! Funny you should ask. My sister just bought a house in Albuquerque, NM. And wanted to decorate with my photos. I had a bunch of canvas prints made, two of each photo. One each for her and one each for me and it only cost her the storage fees for mine until we grow up and settle down. It's a long way to go before all the best ones are on canvas but it's a start!

Thanks. Yes, I recognize how fortunate we are to have gotten these. It's only the third time in my life that we have gotten photo of these guys. But it wasn't just happenstance, we spend long hours out in the bush, just for these opportunities.
