I have a friend who owns a century old cattle ranch, which happens to boarder a nice trout stream. After fishing recently I decided to capture some of the centuries old barns and houses still standing.
This image is the first house built from my friends family over a hundred years ago. As I captured this house from many sides I could only imagine living in such a structure with no water, electricity, TV, phone, or, god help us, no internet.
In the interest of fully disclosure, I added a sky from a different location captured on the same day.
The house is not safe to enter or I would have spent hours in it, too.
I've provided color and B/W to suit the viewer.
Both beautiful renderings of an interesting subject. Please stay well and keep on sharing.
These are both nice, and black and white wins by a mile for me because it puts all the emphasis on the structure by muting the possibly distracting color elements such as the bottle in the lower left. Nice conversion, too. And you selected a good sky to fit the scene.
They're both very nice. The B&W is striking, but I like the subtlety available in the color version--none of the colors are so bright that they detract from the aura.

As a through and through country boy now in old age, sounds like paradise to me!!
My preference in photography is strongly that it be like what my eyes see, thus I much prefer the first image. Think of all the memories that could be found there if only we had that ability Thanks for posting.
