Thanks. No I haven't tried that, and perhaps that was the obvious thing to do since I do have one .

The haze makes the mountains a bit mysterious though.

The haze was there and you did a good good of conveying a beautiful scene, R.G.

Oh, very nice shot with framing rocks, and the road leading into the mysterious distance! I like it as is.

Indeed. And going by other people's comments there's definitely a place for an occasional hazy shot. I just wouldn't want it as extreme as the original was.

I don't know why I didn't use it with this one. When I do use it it's one of the first things I do.

Here is your pic using Affinity / haze removal / clarity. There is, of course, a certain amount of mountain mist, which I think enhances the effect.

The hazy distant mountains are a nice contrast to the closer areas - this is a beautiful shot.
