Regardless of who wins today the US is now morally bankrupt.

Too many Americans voted for a criminal, almost half the country. We are entering an age of obscurantism similar to the medieval ages were sciences and individual thinking was repressed and religion took over. Morality then was dictated by a corrupt religion based in Rome.

Today it is still religion that is creating the decay. Christianity is now the source of all the ills and has polarized the country. The difference is that it is not due to a single place of corruption but individual surrender. I lay the blame on all religious leaders, especially the evangelists who have long understood that they could manipulate their flocks in order to amass first riches then influence. This goes from small to mega churches. They all lied to folks incapable of thinking by themselves.

This lack of independent thinking and need to rely on 'reliable sources' shows individuals refusal to take responsibility for their own actions. If it worked this way, that would be fine. Trouble is, it does not.

I am a christian and I am appalled by what I see around me today. So-called Christians support a known racist, a liar, a man who does not respect anyone or anything. We are entering a religious war where the spirit of a nation is at stake. Under the name of Christ crimes are being committed. Sciences is being denied and selfish interest takes over communal needs. World peace is also at stake in the long run as this will not be limited to the US. A cancer is slow to act but deadly.

I still am a christian. Christ never lied to me. I weep when I see what is done in his name.

The above sounds very much like the discussion between two people about a major problem: One saying "There is none who are right except thee and me . . . and sometimes I have doubts about thee".

The moment christians support a liar, a racist, a cheat and all around dishonest man as a 'leader' is the moment honest folks need to speak out.

Nothing this man has done is in sync with christian beliefs.

So you are saying that Christianity (all Christians) are now the source of all the ills, and that they are not honest !

I am typing and - you know this - that ANYONE who claims to be Christian and support this man is wrong and is far from what the bible and Christ teaches.

Do not place your bias onto this.

And yes, I accuse these so-called christians to be part of the problem, regardless of what churches they are part of.

Christianity as a whole is compromised. Who wants to be part of any churches when you see the hypocrisy? Do you really wonder why folks are moving out in throve?

I am revolted against the apathy displayed by all churches leaders and their flocks who do not denounce what is going on. This does involves most religious leaders and most christians. Being silent is being an accomplice. One cannot sit on the fence.

It is easier to claim "God loves you" than to say: "I, you, we, bear responsibility for not speaking out."

"This man"?? Which one are you referring to? BOTH of them have flaws. The only perfect man to ever walk on Earth was JESUS.

You are correct yet one is way more flawed than the other and is supported despite a blatant behavior that would never been accepted in any congregation.

The real issue is christianity being involved in politics and its leader promoting one candidate vs another.

Jesus warned us against this.

Not all religious leaders have lied to, or manipulated their Glock. If yours is doing good them you need to approach him.

My church, https://www.peopleschurch.org/ is led by a true man of GOD. What he has said is, " you need to vote, make sure you do your research, and pray about it." Pastor Dale has never said anything to lead or tell us how to vote.

Remember this, God is always in control. Whatever happens is according to his plan and the end result. We may not like it (the way the vote turns out) but we need to accept it, and pray about it.

It may be that all have been blinded by following a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Possibly Christ’s way of bringing this nation back to the principles on which it was founded. Just like He did with Israel in the Old Testament

Every time I find myself agitated by what some politician says or does, I think back to how Jesus reacted to the political climate in his time on earth. He refused to become involved. His mission was to glorify God and turn all people toward God. To find solutions to every earthly problem, one has to turn to God. He is the creator of every piece of the universe and according to his word, it was very good. It was man that destroyed that good and we are just living in the remnants of that destruction. God said that in the end, we will nearly destroy ourselves and the earth and He will step in to bring the current era to an end. What should matter to every Christian is whether we will be found faithful or not on that day.

I'm confused, too whom do you speak of? The one that prays in public and advocates the right to life or the one who says that woman is not necessarily a woman and vise versa. Or - it's okay to believe in abortion and still be a christian. To whom do you serve? God or Satin?
