Out of Wrangell one can go up the river and see that beauty. As John Muir said the Grand Canyon of the north. Sadly I has bad weather as you can see. The little houses that are anchored on the river are for the Government folks as the air draft of the river keeps the Mosquitoes away.

Very nice indeed, Mike. I can testify to the mosquitos being a might bothersome around Wrangell.

Beautiful photos. Are the houses pretty much moored in the same place all the time? Does the River ever flood as does the Colorado River and the Snake River during the Spring runoff?
