Learning my new (used) P&S. Camera has one Fstop only (2.8). Throughout its entire range. BUT will adjust up to F8 on the dial. ?? is...does the aperture (sp?) change or remain on F2.8 If you're wondering...yes I did RTFM!! Enlighten me s'il vous plait. Peter

Hi, Peter. On the FZ200, the widest aperture is f/2.8 and remains at f/2.8 throughout the entire zoom range of the lens. Other cameras may have an f/2.8 aperture at the widest focal length, but as the lens zooms out, the widest aperture begins to narrow down. Of course you can select whatever f/stop you want, but the lens remains all the way open at f2.8 as you zoom out. Does this help?
