All anyone that ever has doubt about how and why America is great need only recall those that were truly "The Greatest Generation" to which we will always be indebted for all they did and that they gave.

What a great video, what a great story and what a great plane! I can't imagine what it must have sounded like when several hundred flew on a bombing raid.

I purchased a 1945 B-29 "intercooler flap position indicator" as a Christmas gift for a friend whose uncle flew one. When the engine's turbocharger compressed intake air, Boyles law dictated the air temperature would increase. Because these engines often overheated, the compressed air was cooled by the intercooler, before going into the combustion process as one way to keep engine temperature under control. It shows you how these engines were pushed to the upper limit of performance for internal combustion.

Excellent! I hate to see those old war birds flying, though, because they crash occasionally, killing the pilot/crew and destroying an irreplaceable plane.

I was OK for the first few minutes, but the screen started to blur. Don't know why.

Couldn't access the link from Canada - seems to be a French site - odd.
