I haven’t tried a cellphone, but I have successfully disassembled and replaced an IPad screen. There are details to be observed, but not that difficult if you are careful, do your homework before plunging in and have the correct tools.

Didn't work on mine. Must have been the Sensodyne toothpaste, or it could have been the Fried Rice.

Yes, definitely not real - "magic." I should have added a to my post.

I've replace a battery in a iPhone 7. Never again. The glue they use is super strong. I had to use a hair dryer
to loosen it up.

A hair dryer seems to have become a standard tool for modern electronics - lots of glue!

IFixIt.com has the right tools, parts, and Dozuki guides that show exactly what to do, in extreme, close-up detail.

There are others, but iFixIt are the oldest and are politically active in support of owners’ rights to repair their own gear.

Magic; illusion, as an amateur magician, I've seen this before; the phone is switched after toothpaste is applied, you will notice that the phone is off camera long enough to make a switch. Everyone in the video is involved in this illusion. it is not a very good trick in my opinion.

I've seen other videos he's done - same "extras." Of course, they're all in on it.
