I've been interested in photography since the 60s, and spent a couple of co-op
terms from school making gelatin for Kodak film at Eastman Gelatine in
Peabody Massachusetts. I did lots of B&W darkroom stuff on an amateur
basis until I moved to Florida 16 years ago. I use Ubuntu Linux and am a
long time GIMP user. Recently I got the latest GIMP, which is miles
ahead of the one in my Ubuntu release. I also got the latest version of
Rawtherapee, and am beginning to understand it and am amazed at what
it lets me do with RAW files. I have a D90, and feel a wild attack of GAS
coming on that runs far ahead of my budget. I like photographing almost
everything.
Welcome to the"Hog". I still take my D90 around once in a while, but had wrist problems and use the D5500 more often as the "walk-around". Trying to work through darktable, which seems to be very capable. Looking forward to seeing some of your work. Stay well.
Welcome to the forum.

I go there several times a year and stay in Oviedo. Not a bad take off point for Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, Orlando Playground, Lake Apopka, Viera Wetlands, etc.
BTW, I stay right off 434 by UCF, so 436 to the Springs isn't too bad!
