AFFINITY PHOTO FILE

When I go into Bridge I can see my PSD files images, but if I go to Drive F: and pull up a file it is listed as a .psd but you cannot see the images. It shows up with the Affinity symbol and when you click on it, it opens in Affinity rather than Photoshop (CC2020).

How can I get away from the psd files being saved as Affinity files? If I'm trying to find something fast, a lot of the time I'll go to the directory where it is stored, then have to go into Bridge to look at it.

Your file associations have been changed to Affinity. Assuming Windows, right click one of the PSDs and select properties from the resulting menu. Then, change the program that opens the file, selecting PSE2020. Use google for how to "change file associations" for how to make this change universal for your version of windows (or mac).

Thanks, that worked. Looks like it changed all of them.

Very similar to the process for macOS. R-click use “Get Info” on the Mac. Then select “open with“ (choose program) “for all files of this type”.
