Well maybe not at it's finest, but i always love seeing the expression's on the kids faces.
This was the first game for these two teams, as they have just opened youth sports up again in our area.
Hopefully they well stay open. Blue team won 3-1.
These were shot with my D7100, and my Sigma 70-200mm lens.
Auto ISO with a max of 6400, Aperture priority set at 2.8
1st photo was shot at F2.8--1/6400 sec.--ISO 1250 and 277mm equiv.
2nd photo was shot at F2.8--1/6400 sec.--ISO 640 and 277mm equiv.
Also nasty day to shoot, had rain, drizzle, cloud cover, sun did pop out a couple of times but not for long tho.

Hi

Great to see shots. Our teams are batting back going. HS football is touch. Most sports wearing masks. Lots of new rules

@tom. Thanks for sharing. On the first shot, the SS seems higher thank I would have expected was needed at this level (ie size/age) relative to ISO. Can you comment on your thoughts for settings?

Love the capture timing

First shot is great, sadly I try not to ever show a players back.
I agree with David as to why you were shooting at such a high shutter speed.
Again the first shot is wonderful.
