Pierre Dumais was married to a wonderful woman named Sandra Dedrick. She is a professional singer, songwriter, and photographer. Pierre told me that one day, while Sandra had her camera in hand, she decided to shoot this image of Pierre, saying "Too often, the photographer is never seen", and she wanted to change that. I liked the color image so much I asked both of them if I could use it as a starting point and collaborate on a sepai-toned portrait to upload to the website YouPic. They both agreed. This is one of the later images of my good friend, Pierre, taken by the loving hand of my good friend, Sandra Dedrick. Interesting project.
I prefer #3 particularly for the gamma enhancement of subject character ( sort of unduly subdued in #4)
