This is the Bold Jumping Spider that met its demise a few months ago in the dogs outdoor water bowl. I keep in preserved in the freezer and I brought it out for a focus stacking session. So far it appears to be holding up well along with some others that I have stored there (with my Better Half's permission of course).

Your wife is a sport!

This is an excellent shot and resembles something from space!

Oh, Kpmac..! I was so worried about you and yours being down there with the storm coming through. I scoured the news and looked for information however most of what I could find was on the coastal areas. I pray that all went well for you and that you were in safe harbor.

Thanks for viewing and for the feedback. I can usually tell which way the negotiations will be going by "the look" that she gives me. I've seen it far too many times over our 53-years so I know it well.

Thanks, Quixdraw. It took me quite a while to embrace them and I've come to live and let live now. The exception however are the Brown Recluse that thrive around here and when I see them they get the old "Mexican Hat Dance".

How would you like to have that spider looking at you as a food source?? That's what nightmares are made of.

Great shot. Say thank you to your wife than she might let you store more little things.

Tinusbum, it is the never ending support and encouragement that I receive here that has helped take me this far.

Thanks for dropping by and for the reply. Thankfully my specimens are all quite small otherwise I would be pressing my luck with her and then I would end up being the one under the microscope lens.

Thanks, Doc. Jumping Spiders are my Kryptonite. Each time I see one I get weak in the knees and my heart races.
