Return to the Dark Side, a trip I like to make every few months.
Bob, this is lovely. I zoomed in a bit in order to see detail. It appears there's a sort of mesh overlay. I wondered why that was applied. Or am I seeing something else?

I started processing this image as Stained Glass effect, in full color. Later I decided to go monochrome, but never removed the stained glass effect.

I thought perhaps that was the case. So do you plan to leave it this way?

This is the stained glass version, from Smart Photo Editor. The facets each have their own color gradients which livens up the lighting. When converted to b&w, those color differences show up as tonal gradations.
In the B&W the cluster is escaping the rest, a feeling of movement. Perhaps a flying animal posing as part of a plant. Well done Bob.
I think the stained glass effect looks cool . It gives a fish scale effect almost . Nice work Bob

Thank you, Don. Flying animals, eh? Methinks you need to get out more.

Thank you, kubota king. You know, I've always been curious ....... what is a kubota (or where?)?
That bw effect is wonderful. There is a lot more going on than you can see from a casual glance.
kubota is a company that makes riding mowers , small and large tractors , etc. I got the nick name kubota king from a friend I worked with years ago. I have owned 8 different sizes of Kubota tractors over about 40 years. So that is what a kubota is . Your not the first one on here to ask me how I got the name Kubota King .
