My file structure is corrupted. I have sessions catalogues,both types, and I started out badly by consolidating 20k images over 20 years, multiple cameras and formatted into one non referenced with the idea to cull. I the creates sessions for daily use and a referenced catalogue.as each image has multiple files they see scattered. Capture one will not oopen to the main catalogue now, location or size,and will open to the smaller referenced catalogue and sessions. 60 plus percent of the main library can be culled and 20 percent moved to storage mecium,so my main catalogue would be 4 k images, and I can make multiple reference sources. I am in chaos and would like to go to order. I’m not sure of the exact software pitfalls I’m in, or the best process to follow. I would like to de duplicate at first, but rightno cannot open the non referenced main file. Any suggestions,re process or dedupping programs etc would be appreciated. I am a little confused by your post because your writing is not clear (sorry, no offense meant). But I noticed this:
"Capture one will not open to the main catalogue now".

You can search your Mac for the catalog files and any 1 of them can be opened directly with the usual double click. The filetype for the catalog is "name. cocatalog" where "name" can be anything you designated. Search for the filetype. The Mac can be searched on all volumes at once if you choose the correct location in the left panel of Finder.

In other words, if you start CaptureOne from the icon on the Dock it will go where it thinks it should but if you find a catalog or session and double-click it then that is the one which will open.

A session will be created in its own folder named CaptureOne inside the folder of files for which you created it.

If you look in the user guide / manual you will find explanations on how to put sessions inside catalogs, how to "pack" and export one file or a set of files. And so on.

A catalog or session can be moved, even with the Finder.

I can't tell from what you said in your post if your catalog(s) or session(s) are actually corrupted. I do recommend asking for help from CaptureOne's support.

I don't know anything about Fuji but I do use C1v20 Pro for Sony on a Mac so if you have specific problems that you think I can help with then a PM might be the way to go. I hope other folks with the right knowledge can help, too.
