Shot with my new lens, Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 for Sony E. Starting to get the hang of it a bit, been a long time that I've shot a zoom lens, nearly all my work is from prime lenses.

Thanks for Looking!!!!!

Johnny

Excellent start. Once addicted to a zoom, it can be more difficult to work with primes and needing to move closer/further back to get the shot you want.

Looks like you've got the hang of it already, Johnny, from the looks of these beauties!!! Your desert rose seems to be lit from within!!

Since you stated you stated you always used prime lenses what is your take on this new zoom? Are you sorry you bought it?
I love my 35 - 150 mm Tamron mounted on either my D810 or D850 full frame Nikon, bought it earlier this spring.

Thanks Paul, not much moving back with this one, it will get down to mim. focus of around 7 inches. and it's not as good as a few of my primes but really, really close.

Thanks much Donna, What I got to do now is set up my camera to this lens, I have already gone -2 on the contrast, it's little things like that, just some fine tuning that will take some time.

It is lit from the inside because I put on my Speedlight flash and a defuse cover over the flash set @ 1/8 power.

Carol, Thank you much!!!!! That Desert Rose is by far my favorite one and it has seed pods on it But that doesn't mean it will be the same color.

Jim, I Really like this lens, I'm so glad I bought it, I did my home work and that paid off. Having said that My photography, photography style and processing is about to change and I bought this lens for that reason.

Having said that, I am shocked how good this lens is, But it has not proved to me it can be as good as a prime when it comes down to artistic shots. Perhaps that will change the more I shoot it and set it up in my camera.

Did you not like the pictures Jim?????????
