If I attach a reflex lens to a Z or R camera, is it still 'mirror'-less?

Mirrorless refers to the camera body. It does not matter what kind of lenses put on it, it is mirrorless. There is nothing philosophical about it.

Are we now ready for 'the meaning of life'?

A reflex lens is also known as mirror or catadioptric lens.

If you get the reference, the answer is '42'

42 is the answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

Cool; I own 2 catadioptric lenses and never heard them referred to as reflex lenses.

I had a reflex lens once. If you hit it in the right spot with a little hammer it would jerk. And, yes, 42 is the answer to all questions, eventually.

Yes, the camera is still mirrorless. Pointing a mirror lens at a mirror, well, that's a real philosophical question.

42° is the angle at which you can see a rainbow. No other angle works. And you're not going to see a rainbow at high noon. (I mean the time, not the movie.)
