American Wigeon - Mareca americana
A medium sized dabbling duck that eats almost exclusively plants both in the water and by grazing in fields, parks and golf courses. They are found at least part of the year all the way from Northern Alaska to Central America and though not common Eurasian Wigeons are sometimes seen with American Wigeons in North America and American Wigeons with their Eurasian cousins in Asia. Their territories overlap in the Alaska/Siberia region.
