App Link To Dictionary and/or Thesaurus

Sometimes while reading something on-line, I see a word that I don't know. I could switch to another browser and look in a dictionary for the meaning, but I'd like to link to it by highlighting it and causing an auto link to the dictionary. Is there an App that can do that?

Look in the app store for your browser. A quick look at Chome's showed numerous apps for dictionary and/or thesaurus.

With Macs if you highlight a word and right click you can Google the word's meaning. I think it works with any browser

And Windows, as well.

Works similarly in Chrome browser on a Chromebook. When you highlight (select) a word and right-click, you have an option of "search Google for (the word)." Click that and a new tab opens with a definition, as well as the rest of the search page results.

Moose, you said "I could switch to another browser" - did you mean open a new tab? Your browser of choice can have many tabs (web pages) open simultaneously.

"Each open web page will appear as a “tab” at the top of your web browser window. You can click the tabs to switch between your open web pages."

I'm on a PC with Win10.
I use Firefox as my default browser.
Highlight the word, right click, search in Google.

Thanks LInda and ALL for your comments. I did find that I could highlight the word and link to google to find the definition. That's really great. Works the same on my iPad and iPhone.

You don't need an app if in google chrome. Just highlite it and right click and then click on the option to do a google search for the term.
