I started my photographic journey in the mid 70's with a Minolta SrT-102 and my dad's Graflex Speed Graphic 4x5 press camera. Lucky enough to have a professional dark room at our family's printing company. I miss those days....film, tray development and printing. Moving up to color slide development and color prints.
Shooting everything with that old clunker.....indoor/outdoor sports, births, graduations, weddings, accidents, funerals....life. The magic of that Minolta, discovering macro-photography, my first 135mm telephoto.
Life intervened, college, 24 years of military service. Rediscovering photography from our spec-op teams embedded photographer. Getting to use Nikon hand-me-downs in remote places--photos that my guys could send home.
Keen amateur/semi-pro, with Nikon in hand, who looks to capture life's moments and tell stories with photos.
Glad to be aboard. Thanks.
