Snowy Egret - Egretta thula
A double world above in the air and reflected below on the water.
This Snowy had been after something but it got into deeper water and though usually vigorous hunters this one just froze for a few minutes waiting to see if lunch would come back in range. The ripples became very small, mostly from the very small rapid out of sight to the upper left, the reflection became really good and I got the shot.
I did have to clone the doubled plant closer to fit into the composition. If you pixel peep you can see the many small ripples and waves don't match up between the bird and the plant.
In breeding season the yellow on the face and feet take on a bit of a red caste. Males and females look alike with the males being a bit larger.
