I am trying to decide if Luminar 4 is worth buying or not...I would want to use it for sky replacement mostly...

I currently use Lightroom and PS Elements

will there be any advantages to adding Luminar 4 to my battery of Post Processing Software.

Thanks for your input

Chuck

Yes, very much so.

Cheers!

Anything you buy that is extremely cheap you run the risk that the program has been modified to install all kinds of nefarious software.

If all you are buying is a "key" that is a different story as you can download the trial version and use the key to activate it.

There is a reason why the software is $5.00 they want access to your computer.

I gave up Luminar 4 for ON1. ON1 is a really good program with lots of tutorials to steepen the learning curve. I do also use Luminar Flex on occasion as a plug-in to ON1. I find this is a good mix.

Agrees with my experience.

I suspect those who have been having problems simply do not have enough memory (in their PC, of course).

I enjoy L4’s lightening speed twin screen, on a pair of iMacs with 64 MB RAM and 32MB RAM. The RAM and computing platform does make a significant difference. I run C1 with L4 and Aperture running simultaneously without any issues.

Cheers!

I sprang for Luminar 4 and very happy that i did...the photos are very quick edits of 2 of my photos...the bird was taken in London on an overcast day...the background was from the same place and day...

The building was shot in Paris. I used the Luminar 4 cloud sky to see how their backgrounds looked...

The sky replaced in a second...I have not done anything else with it as of yet...

Needless to say i love the program if for no other reason that the sky replacement....

Thanks for all your input...

Chuck

Even if it's a key, anything at that price is black market and more than likely will not work. Voe.
