I have some images of different instars taken in years past over on my Flickr stream. I have noticed that I don't see many older instar stages other than the first few. I can only assume that predatory wasps had gotten to them...

Luckily the butterflies lay their eggs on this same Cherry tree year after year...I have egg and early instar images from the same tree over the course of the past several years. The only advanced instar I found, was found elsewhere...
