In 2006-2013 we were living in Massachusetts, while my parents were still in Indiana, so we spent a lot of time on the Toll Roads. In 2007, we broke up the trip by stopping in Bellevue, Ohio, to see the train museum there. Honestly, I was kind of disappointed because it was more expensive than we expected, so only I went in - while my wife and two teenaged daughters wandered around. the museum is dedicated to the Nickle Plate Railroad, but the reason I went in was to see the "Silver Dome", the first domed railroad car, built by the Burlington Shops during World War 2 by converting a more conventional car.
The camera I had was not up to the task. This was one of the adventures that convinced me I needed to spend the money for a real DSLR, but I have not been there since then. These are the two pictures I did take of that car.

No, this is part of the seating area under the dome. I didn’t do a very good job of capturing it I guess.
Interesting. Many thanks for sharing. One ponders why they choose red for the color scheme in the car. Oh well, one of the mysteries we will never know.

I have seen several cars from that era with red leather coverings.
