Walked through the park with my grandson today with the camera in hand and found many lovely wildflowers and some critters that were willing to pose for me including some dragonflies and damselflies.

The highlight of the walk was when I held out my arm and turn up my thumb and a dragonfly landed on it and stayed there and would not leave regardless of how I moved my arm.

Good shots! Wow! I love the first one. On download that is superb! Face like a hairy pearl.
I never have the right lens when they are that close, That said, I've never had one land on my hand before either. I'm told that if you hold your arm out and follow through with pointing at them, they may land on your finger.

Thanks, it was sooooo strange. I was telling my grandson how they sit on a perch waiting to spot prey and one was attracted to me for some reason so I stuck my arm out and turned my thumb like hitchhiking and it landed on it and stayed there.

Thanks, Mark. It was enjoyable to get out for a bit today. It had rained last night so the grass and thick weeds were wet which I imagine they liked for there were many of them and we were along the banks of the Mississippi River as well.

Thanks, Kpmac. Sometimes things just tend to work out and other times not so much so.

An excellent set Gary. Isn't it great to share this kind of adventure with your grandson? Well done my friend.
