My son and I drove to Sylvan Lake Sat nite. Sky was forecast to be clear and the moon in its last quarter, was scheduled to rise well after mid nite. Great night to take some star shots! The first shot was taken with a Nikon Z6 24-70 f4 @24 mm, f4, 20 sec, iso 1600.
Since comet NEOWISE seems to be all the rage these days (and it should be since it won't be back for another 8000 years!), thought I would give it shot. Taken with a Nikon D850, 24-120mm @ 24mm, f4, 2 sec. iso 3200. Please enjoy/comment. Download works best.
The first is very nicely exposed. I like seeing a bit of detail in the dark trees and rocks in the foreground, and the cabin and hint of light in the trees to the right.
Thanks for all the kind words!
